Osbournes have recently designed, supplied and installed Louvres for the St Cuthbert's College new Performing Arts Centre. The building was designed by Architectus and features in the Architecture NZ Magazine (25th Anniversary issue). Hallway Circular Louvres
The Architectus concept required floating circular louvres, which also spin on their axis, to allow access to clean the skylights above. Osbournes came up with the detail, the manufacturing and the installation—and the results were stunning.
Atrium Parallelogram Louvres
For the buildings atriums, Architectus wanted a parallelogram shape, which didn't exist, to diffuse the light. They also required the louvres to be able to rotate down to allow for cleaning of the atrium glass. Osbournes designed and cut a new louvre blade especially for this project and designed a bracket which would allow louvres to rotate down – refer to atrium louvre photo above.
Plant Room Triangular Louvres
Building line restrictions required a unique triangular shape screen in between two roof lines. Osbournes installed a floating triangular shaped louvered plant room screen complete with doors. – refer to Plant room screen photo above.
